On Wednesday, January 13, Rockland High School will hold an Open House.
The program will begin at 6:30 in the Auditorium where various speakers, including RHS students, will make brief presentations in regards to the Rockland High School experience, the curriculum, and available activities and clubs.
“I want [parents and students] to be excited about the opportunities. I want them to know what is offered, where to go if you have a question, and if you need help with something,” says RHS Principal Dr. Cron, “The main thing is that I want them to be excited about high school.”
Following the opening, at 7:00, members of RHS’s Student Government Council will give tours of the building and answer any questions that parents and students may have. Students who are Bulldog Mentors will also be there. Dr. Cron emphasized the importance of having students involved with the Open House.
“Schools should be judged on what their students produce or do or become. That’s how we should be judged,” says Dr. Cron, “I want [students present] because [they] are the reason we’re here.”
