Hill Advances to POL State Finals

On Sunday, March 1, after winning over the judges at the 2015 Southeastern Regional round of the Poetry Out Loud competition held in South Yarmouth, RHS senior Danielle Hill will advance on to the POL State Finals. Hill scored among the top six competitors by performing “Snow Day” by Billy Collins and “What It Looks Like To Us and the Words We Use” by Ada Limon.

The finals will take place this Sunday, March 8, at the historic Old South Meeting House in Boston. The event starts at 9:30 AM and is free and open to the public. Rockland High graduate Gabrielle Guarracino (Class of 2008) will serve as one of the judges for this round. Guarracino was Massachusetts State Champion in 2007 and 2008. She will be a featured performer between the second and third rounds of the contest.
